چکیده
We study the consequences of long-range Coulomb interactions at the critical points between integer/fractional quantum Hall states and an insulator. We use low energy theories for such transitions in anyon gases in the presence of an external periodic potential. We find that Coulomb interactions are marginally irrelevant for the integer quantum Hall case. For the fractional case, depending upon the anyon statistics parameter, we find behavior similar to the integer case, or flow to a novel line of fixed points with exponents z = 1, ν > 1 stable against weak disorder in the position of the critical point, or runaway flow to strong coupling. Exact critical exponents of the Green functions for pseudo-fermions and slave bosons in the SU(N) Anderson model with U → ∞ are obtained by using the Bethe ansatz solution and boundary conformal field theory. They are evaluated exactly for mixed valence systems and Kondo systems with crystalline fields. The results agree with the prediction of Menge and Müller-Hartmann, which coincide with thos...

Recent developments in the analysis of finite temperature dissipationless transport in inte-grable quantum many body problems are presented. In particular, we will discuss: (i) the role played by the conservation laws in systems as the spin 1/2 Heisenberg chain and the one-dimensional Hubbard model, (ii) exact results obtained using the Bethe ansatz method on the long time decay of current corr...

It is shown how the macroscopic non-equilibrium dynamics of a class of systems whose microscopic stochastic dynamics involves disordered and frustrated but range-free interactions can be well described by closed deterministic flow equations; this requires an appropriate choice of order parameters/function and ansätze.

We present a self-consistent theory of magnetic short-range order based on a spin-rotation-invariant slaveboson representation of the 2D t-J model. In the functional-integral scheme, at the nearest-neighbour pairapproximation level, the bosonized t-J Lagrangian is transformed to a classical Heisenberg model with an effective (doping-dependent) exchange interaction which takes into account the i...
